BILLY

CHRISTMAS

I am a Senior Lecturer in Political Philosophy at King's College London, in the Department of Political Economy.

My work engages with the philosophical analysis of property rights and state authority. I am interested in the treatment of property and the state in contemporary theories of justice, as well as the positive political economy of their interaction and historical development. I am also interested in the normative and positive applications of these theories to areas such as urban development and environmental governance.

Outside of the academy, I serve as Reader in the parish of Saints Peter and Paul, in the Holy Orthodox Archdiocese of Thyateira and Great Britain (Ecumenical Patriarchate). I also regularly compete at regional meets of the International Powerlifting Federation.
